 Kumho appoints new CEO/President
|

Kumho Tire Co. Ltd has announced the appointment of Jong Ho Kim (J.H. Kim) as its new CEO and President. He will be based at the company's headquarters in Seoul, South Korea.
Mr Kim has held numerous sales and marketing positions since joining Kumho in 1976 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of the tyre industry to his new position. This includes a nine year tour of duty in the USA, initially as General Manager, then Managing Director and finally as the Vice President of Sales for the company's American operations. He then assumed the role of Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the parent company back in Korea.
Although he has operated outside the tyre industry for the past four years, as the President and CEO of Group Companies for Kumho Asiana, Mr Kim has nevertheless kept a watchful eye on the progress of both the Kumho Tire Company and the tyre industry in general.
Commenting on his appointment he said: "Although we currently face significant challenges as an industry, I am very pleased to return to the tyre business and guide our company to the next level."
